Patola Saree
Patola is a traditional, intricate, and exquisite saree originating from Patan, Gujarat, India. It's renowned for its vibrant colors, unique patterns, and labor-intensive manufacturing process. It is woven using a double ikat method, in which both the warp and weft threads are tie-dyed before weaving. Traditional Patola sarees use natural dyes, such as vegetable and plant extracts. Patola sarees feature complex geometric patterns, floral motifs, and animal designs. These sarees are draped on occasions such as weddings, festivals (e.g., Navratri, Diwali), traditional events, and formal gatherings.
